1940's: Vincenzo Martone establishes Marvin, a company specialized in antibiotics and over-the-counter drugs. The chemical and pharmaceutical know-how gained over years becomes the foundation of ICR and has always been an invaluable asset.
1960: The company diversifies into dermatological skincare and fragrances.
1975: Roberto Martone succeeds his father Vincenzo with the intuition of creating premium perfumes for Italian fashion designers and establishes ICR Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite S.p.A., set up to offer all phases of the fragrance development, from creation to worldwide distribution with the highest industry standards. The world of Italian excellence enters the fine fragrance market.
1980's: ICR is chosen by the most important Italian designers of the time - Gianni Versace, Nazareno Gabrielli, Nicola Trussardi, Renato Balestra, Romeo Gigli… - and for them creates top-seller perfumes in Italy
1987: As a result of this success, the location is moved from Milano to Lodi to significantly expand factory and warehouses. Part of the former perfume factory is redesigned into Magna Pars Event Space, one of the top event locations in Milan.
1990's - 2000's: ICR signs worldwide exclusive agreements for research and development, production and logistic services with several prestigious brands: Asprey, Bulgari, Custo Barcelona, Emanuel Ungaro, Extè, Gai Mattiolo, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tiffany, …
2002: Martone establishes ITF, acronym for Italian Fragrances, a company that manages perfume and cosmetic licensing for fashion and luxury brands. In 2015 ICR sells ITF to the Angelini group, remaining the exclusive provider of all industrial services - R&D, production, filling, packing and logistics - for all brands licensed by Angelini Beauty: Blugirl, Blumarine, Dsquared2, Gianfranco Ferré, Laura Biagiotti, Pomellato and Trussardi.
2013: The premises of the former perfume factory in Milan are redesigned into a luxurious five-star hotel, Magna Pars Suites Milano, the first “Hotel à Parfum” in the world.
2017: a new productive and logistic site opens next to the existing one, 9.800 additional square meters dedicated to production of perfumes and cosmetics and intensive warehousing of components and finished products. Is founded ICR LAB, a new division to help ICR partners designing & developing new high quality innovative and exclusive made in Italy beauty products.
Today the company is at the third generation, as Roberto’s daughters, Giorgia and Ambra, joined the business. As a family-owned company ICR can take the long-term view, invest in quality and passion and be agile to seize opportunities as they arise.
